Light

1.The light time can be increased but not reduced, but the longest time cannot exceed 17 hours/day, and the light intensity cannot be reduced.

2.During the period from 130 to 140 days, the light can be extended to reach the peak egg laying period of 210 days, and the light time can be increased to 14 to 15 hours per day and kept constant.

3.When the egg production rate starts to decline from the peak, gradually extend the light to 16 hours per day and keep it constant until elimination.

4.Open chicken coop adopts natural light during the day and artificial light at night, which can be divided into: night alone, morning alone, morning and evening separately, etc. Choose the light supplementation method according to the local breeding habits.

5.Closed chicken house can be completely artificial light. When controlling the light should pay attention to: the time of light needs to be gradually increased; the time of switching on and off the light should be fixed every day and should not be easily changed; the light should be gradually reduced or gradually dimmed when switching on and off the light to avoid sudden changes in light that may cause shock to the flock.

A sudden rise or fall in temperature may also affect the egg production rate. For example, if there is a continuous hot and muggy weather in summer, a high temperature environment will be formed in the house; a sudden cold spell in winter will cause a general decrease in the amount of food taken by the chickens, and the digestive capacity of the chickens will be reduced, and the egg production will also fall.

Temperature and humidity in the chicken coop

1.when the humidity in the chicken coop is too low, the air is dry, dust increases, and the chickens are prone to respiratory diseases. At this time, water can be sprinkled to the ground to improve the humidity in the chicken coop.

2.When the humidity in the chicken coop is too high, coccidiosis is high, and the intake of chickens decreases, intermittent and regular ventilation should be taken to change the bedding, raise the temperature and increase the ventilation, and prevent the water in the drinking water from overflowing to reduce the humidity in the chicken coop.

3.Add nutritional additives to the chickens at the right time and in the right amount to improve their digestion and absorption ability, so as to increase egg production; if the chicken coop is poorly ventilated for a long time, the heavy smell of ammonia will also easily induce respiratory diseases and lead to a decrease in egg production. Especially in winter, when the temperature difference between inside and outside the coop is large and ventilation is poor, the chickens are especially susceptible to chronic respiratory diseases, which in turn affect the egg production rate.
